Women In the War
Eleanor Roosevelt
Eleanor Roosevelt was the first lady during most of World War II. She played a crucial role in getting women to help in the production of ammunition, weapons, boats, tanks, and planes. She urged women to follow the example the British women were setting and pick up industrial jobs that had opened up because of the men who left to go to war.

"Rosie the Riveter "
Rosie the Riveter wasn't an actual person but was still one of the most influential "women" during World War II. Rosie was a campaign add used by the government to show women that they could work in factory type environments. This add actually worked very well and after its release the number of female factory workers rose.
